The Shangri-La coffee tour is a unique experience popular among coffee enthusiasts as it focuses on the processing of the ripe coffee cherry to the roasted bean explaining and demonstrating every step of the way. We show and explain what factors make a difference in the quality and flavor of the coffee.

Mostramos cómo se cultiva el café en nuestro propio huerto privado y explicamos detalladamente el proceso de elaboración, incluyendo el uso de la maquinaria necesaria para transformar la cereza en café verde en bruto. Además, realizamos una demostración de tueste en la que explicamos cómo el proceso influye directamente en el perfil de sabor final.

The tour takes 1-1,5 hours. We charge Q100 per person – 2 people minimum. The coffee tour with Tim was really informative. He explained the whole process from seed to roast. It’s also an opportunity to buy local grown and roasted coffee at “factory” prices.

At the roastery, Tim demonstrated the whole process from start to finish. The view of the lake from the roastery is quite impressive, too. And the coffee, of course ... wow.
